1995 Ford Mustang GT.jpg

Ford Mustang (SN95). 1994–8 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 3797 cm³ (V6 OHV), 4601 cm³ (V8 OHC), 4601 cm³ (V8 DOHC), 4942 cm³ (V8 OHV). Upgraded Fox platform, and a return to some of the original Mustang’s cues for 1994. MacPherson struts at front but revised, with anti-roll bars, and solid rear axle. All disc brakes, but ABS an option. Better handling than before—in fact, quite competent—at the expense of ride. Return of GT, with Windsor OHV V8, but much more refined Modular OHC V8 replaced it in 1996. Cobra had DOHC V8 from that year; both V8s tend to be thirsty. Curvy theme in interior, extending oval ideas from other Fords. Cramped at rear.

Manufacturing location: Dearborn, Michigan, USA

Marque: Ford | Model: Ford Mustang | Predecessor: Ford Mustang (1979–93) | Successor: Ford Mustang (1999–2004)
