Likened to Aston Martin models at front; styling headed by Brit Chris Hamilton. Mk V Mondeo features Ecoboost 1·0 developing 123 bhp and new 1·5 diesel. Related to new Lincoln MKZ (CD533). Mondeo version finally launched in 2014 as Ford wound up its Belgian factory. Facelift unveiled 2016, for 2017 US model year; V6 for Fusion Sport from 2016. European facelift 2019, with addition of hybrid estate and rotary-shift dial for automatic transmission. Last North American Fusions made in July 2020.
