Ford Fairmont (XA). 1972–3 (prod. 152,609 all types, incl. Falcon). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door coupé. F/R, 250 in³ (6 cyl. OHV), 302, 351 in³ (V8 OHV). Plusher Falcon, with all-new, all-Australian design replacing American-derived 1960s shape. As with Falcon, hardtop coupé also available for the first time.
