Ferrari F430. 2004–9 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible. M/R, 4308 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Entry-level model, with features introduced from Ferrari’s Formula 1 experience, including a steering-wheel control knob for modifying the car’s electronic stability control, suspension, transmission behaviour, throttle response, and the E-Diff (which controlled the limited slip differential). Platform related to outgoing 360, to which it was clearly related. Greater use of aluminium. Larger but lighter engine, with greater torque (465 Nm) and more power (490 PS). Coupé more stable than 360 Modena. Pininfarina styling outside; interior appeared luxurious, and used lightweight, high-tech materials. Scuderia racing version in 2007 (with weight reduced 100 kg), with carbon ceramic brakes, more responsive gearbox among features. Scuderia Spider 16M in 2008.

Manufacturing location: Maranello, Modena, Italy

Marque: Ferrari | Predecessor: Ferrari 360 | Successor: Ferrari 458 Italia
