Daimler Sovereign. 1966–9 (prod. 5,824). 4-door saloon. F/R, 4235 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Badge-engineered version of Jaguar 420, with trade-mark fluted grille. Same engine as well, rather than Daimler V8. Better leather, arguably better walnut trim, and other detail differences to justify higher price. Produced till July 1969, after the XJ6 had already come on stream at Jaguar.
