Daihatsu Opti (ダイハツ・オプティ) (L300S/L310S). 1992–8 (prod. n/a). 3- and 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 658 cm³ (I3 OHC), 658 cm³ (I3 DOHC). Previewed in 1991 as the X-409 concept. Essentially an upscale Mira, but with limited rear headroom thanks to the curvy design. Popular with female buyers in Japan. AWD from September 1992. Five-door from August 1993, along with lower-priced Pico model. Retro-design Classic series from 1996, with chrome grille; limited-edition Parco from 1997.
