Daihatsu Naked (L750/L760S). 1999–2004 (prod. 91,549). 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 658 cm³ (I3 DOHC). Utilitarian kei car, part of a trend that also saw the Toyota Will Vi, giving the impression of being stripped-down and practical. Based on Daihatsu Mira (L700). Exposed hinges; bumper and front grille bolted on the outside; original parts were easy to remove and swap out for optional ones. Keyless entry, with automatic locking and opening as the keyholder left or approached the vehicle. Height kept at 1,550 mm to allow for parking in mechanical multi-level parking garages; ground clearance at 180 mm for FWD and 150 mm for AWD (from rear differential), akin to an off-road vehicle. Not directly replaced, though Terios Kid effectively took its place in the small off-road kei car market, and the 2020 Taft could be said to be its spiritual successor.
