BYD G6. 2011–18 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1497, 1991 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Very successful mid-sizer from BYD, with better resolved, though still conservative, styling than F6. Entry-level model uses old 2·0-litre self-developed four-cylinder, while a 1·5 turbo for the flagships develop 10 kW more (113 kW). Direct injection engine; dual-clutch set-up, apparently developed in-house. Keenly priced, leading to G6 heading to the top of the sales’ charts for its segment initially after launch. Called F7 for export.
