American Motors Rebel. 1970 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 2-door hardtop coupé, 5-door wagon. F/R, 232 in³ (I6 OHV), 306, 360, 390 in³ (V8 OHV). Revised rear end for sedan and coupé, including sleeker C-pillar shape; wagons unchanged. Most potent was ‘The Machine’, a two-door hardtop with four-barrel 390 in³ engine and 340 hp available. Otherwise, the same formula as the previous year: dependable, middle-of-the-road transportation.
