American Motors Rebel. 1968–9 (prod. n/a). 2- and 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door hardtop coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 199, 232 in³ (I6 OHV), 287, 290, 343, 390 in³ (V8 OHV). Lightly updated Rambler Rebel, as AMC phased out its historical marque. Mostly the same as 1967, with the exception of the new 390 in³ V8 (315 hp). Remarks for Rambler Rebel (1967) apply. Still sold as Rambler Rebel in some export markets.
